What we do, in plain English.
Off-the-shelf software gets you 80% of the way — and it's usually the wrong 80%. When your workflows, compliance model or unit economics don't fit the mould, custom software is the honest answer.
We build product-quality applications: web platforms with proper RBAC and billing, native mobile apps that respect the battery, and enterprise systems that integrate cleanly with the ERPs and identity providers you already run.
Every engagement follows the same discipline — discovery, weekly demos, production observability from day one, and a codebase we're happy to hand back at any time.
- Discovery report with scope, risks and phased delivery plan
- Interactive design prototypes reviewed each week
- Production-ready application with CI/CD and observability
- Full source code, infrastructure-as-code and documentation
- Automated test suite (unit, integration, end-to-end)
- Launch support, warranty period and optional SLA
Capabilities under this practice.
A predictable, four-phase delivery.
- 01Discover
Two-week discovery: user research, workflow mapping, technical constraints and success metrics.
- 02Design
Prototypes, information architecture and API contracts — validated before we start building.
- 03Build
Fortnightly sprints with live demos, staged deploys and production-grade instrumentation from day one.
- 04Run
Launch, warranty, and optional long-term product engineering support.
Answers to the questions we hear weekly.
How do you price a custom application?+
Discovery is fixed-price. Delivery is either fixed-scope-per-phase or time-and-materials with a not-to-exceed ceiling. We share estimates with confidence intervals, not single-number fictions.
Who owns the code and IP?+
You do. Every engagement ships with an IP assignment clause, and you get full access to the repository from week one.
Do you build with AI where appropriate?+
Yes — retrieval on your private data, LLM-assisted workflows and evaluation harnesses so you know when to trust the output. We won't sprinkle AI where it doesn't earn its keep.
Can you take over an existing codebase?+
Regularly. We start with a technical audit, stabilise the highest-risk areas, then modernise incrementally without a big-bang rewrite.
What happens after launch?+
Choose: hand-off with documentation and warranty, retained squad for ongoing product work, or a full managed service with 24/7 SLA. All three are common.
